January: Magazino GmbH is founded by Frederik Brantner, Lukas Zanger and Nikolas Engelhard — June: Seed financing round with High-Tech Gründerfonds and two business angels

May: Investment by Next47 (Siemens AG) — September: The picking robot TORU is presented to the public for the first time during the visit of German Chancellor Angela Merkel to the TUM research center.

April: TORU goes into operation at the first customer’s site

August: Fiege Logistik orders 30 more robots

February: Financing round of EUR 20.1 million with Körber Group, Zalando, Henderson Group, Next47 and Fiege Logistik

Roll-out of large TORU robot fleets and new customers throughout Europe. Successful test deployments of the SOTO robot at all development partners.

Magazino expands its markets towards USA and France — Launch of SOTO 2 robot — Financing round of 21 million euros with Jungheinrich and EIB — Launch of webinar series due to Corona restrictions on events — Full remote service achieved

First pilot operation with SOTO 2 robot — TORU roadshow brings live demonstrations to interested companies across Europe — markets expanded towards UK and Italy

Magazino expands its markets towards the Netherlands. Scaling of the TORU robot fleet at customers. Expansion of the partner network. First SOTO project implemented with partner Jungheinrich AG.

Hamburg’s intralogistics leader, Jungheinrich, acquired Magazino in full. After increasing its stake to 21.7% in 2022, Jungheinrich acquired all shares held by the founders and previous co-shareholders in August 2023. Magazino continues its operations as a separate legal entity.
