Your tasks
  • Devel­op­ment of meth­ods for free and con­strained robot nav­i­ga­tion in dynamic ware­house and indus­trial envi­ron­ments
  • Coor­di­na­tion of mul­ti­ple robots at run­time for effi­cient han­dling of traf­fic sit­u­a­tions in shared spaces (humans, robots, AGVs and other vehi­cles)
  • Safety-aware nav­i­ga­tion con­sid­er­ing lim­i­ta­tions imposed by the robot’s safety con­trollers
  • Test and eval­u­a­tion of the devel­oped approaches at our cus­tomers’ sites

 

Require­ments
  • PhD or Mas­ter degree in robot­ics, or sim­i­lar qual­i­fi­ca­tion
  • 5+ years of aca­d­e­mic or indus­trial expe­ri­ence with robot nav­i­ga­tion tech­niques
  • Excel­lent pro­gram­ming skills in C++ and Python
  • Nice to have:
    • Hands-on expe­ri­ence with nav­i­ga­tion and path plan­ning meth­ods in ROS
    • Expe­ri­ence with sen­sor fusion, 2D/3D cam­eras, 2D/3D laser scan­ners, or IMUs
    • Struc­tured and inde­pen­dent work­ing style
    • Eng­lish required, Ger­man nice to have
