We are look­ing for a Robot Deploy­ment Engi­neer (f/m/x) in a per­ma­nent and full-time posi­tion in our office in Munich.

Your tasks

  • You are respon­si­ble for set­ting up and con­fig­ur­ing our robot sys­tem in a new envi­ron­ment while main­tain­ing a close col­lab­o­ra­tion with both the devel­op­ers in the head office and our project managers
  • Within our small project teams, you have a high amount of respon­si­bil­ity for both the project design and execution
  • As inte­gra­tor of our sys­tem you work clos­est with our robots and gain deep knowl­edge in all our sys­tem components
  • Since every cus­tomer has slightly dif­fer­ent require­ments, you’ll encounter and resolve com­plex and excit­ing robot­ics chal­lenges in each project
  • Since you also know our hard­ware very well, you may also tackle hard­ware fail­ures in coop­er­a­tion with our hard­ware and ser­vice teams
  • In order to uncover per­for­mance bot­tle­necks and boost cus­tomer sat­is­fac­tion, you con­duct sta­tis­ti­cal eval­u­a­tions of our cur­rent robot per­for­mance and plan appro­pri­ate improvements
  • You doc­u­ment all remain­ing prob­lems and accom­pany their resolution
  • Max. 80% work­ing time will be spent at our cus­tomers in Ger­many and other Euro­pean coun­tries, while the remain­ing 20% are spent on tool and process devel­op­ment in the head or home office

 

Your pro­file

  • You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in robot­ics, com­puter sci­ence or mecha­tron­ics or a com­pa­ra­ble degree
  • You have a class B driver’s license valid within Germany
  • You have at least 2 suc­cess­fully com­pleted projects with mobile robots, prefer­ably using ROS
  • You have at least 2 years of expe­ri­ence in soft­ware devel­op­ment, ide­ally in the field of robot­ics and/or embed­ded software
  • You are famil­iar with the rou­tine use of the Linux com­mand line
  • You are advanced in Python, and ide­ally have some knowl­edge in C++
  • You have a very high will­ing­ness to travel (max 80%), both nation­ally and internationally
  • You are busi­ness flu­ent in Eng­lish and have basic knowl­edge of German
  • You have a good basic under­stand­ing of mechan­ics, elec­tronic sys­tems, net­works, IT and Linux administration
  • You have first expe­ri­ences with GIT
  • You con­vince with a hands-on men­tal­ity in tack­ling com­plex problems
  • You are socia­ble towards col­leagues and customers
