Your tasks
- You are responsible for setting up and configuring our robot system in a new environment while maintaining a close collaboration with both the developers in the head office and our project managers
- Within our small project teams, you have a high amount of responsibility for both the project design and execution
- As integrator of our system you work closest with our robots and gain deep knowledge in all our system components
- Since every customer has slightly different requirements, you’ll encounter and resolve complex and exciting robotics challenges in each project
- Since you also know our hardware very well, you may also tackle hardware failures in cooperation with our hardware and service teams
- In order to uncover performance bottlenecks and boost customer satisfaction, you conduct statistical evaluations of our current robot performance and plan appropriate improvements
- You document all remaining problems and accompany their resolution
- Max. 80% working time will be spent at our customers in Germany and other European countries, while the remaining 20% are spent on tool and process development in the head or home office
Your profile
- You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in robotics, computer science or mechatronics or a comparable degree
- You have a class B driver’s license valid within Germany
- You have at least 2 successfully completed projects with mobile robots, preferably using ROS
- You have at least 2 years of experience in software development, ideally in the field of robotics and/or embedded software
- You are familiar with the routine use of the Linux command line
- You are advanced in Python, and ideally have some knowledge in C++
- You have a very high willingness to travel (max 80%), both nationally and internationally
- You are business fluent in English and have basic knowledge of German
- You have a good basic understanding of mechanics, electronic systems, networks, IT and Linux administration
- You have first experiences with GIT
- You convince with a hands-on mentality in tackling complex problems
- You are sociable towards colleagues and customers
