Mobile pick­ing robots com­ing to the UK

Mag­a­zino is now a part­ner of the British Footwear Asso­ci­a­tion (BFA). To kick off the part­ner­ship and pro­mote a road­show with the shoe box pick­ing robot TORU in the UK, the Ger­man robot­ics com­pany Mag­a­zino hosts a webi­nar together with the BFA and Zalando. The lead­ing fash­ion plat­form Zalando has been using the robots since 2018 and will pro­vide insights in the webi­nar on how and why they inte­grate the fleet of TORU robots in their footwear operations. 

In the joint webi­nar, hosted by the BFA on June 17, footwear and logis­tics com­pa­nies have the chance to get into dis­cus­sion with Mag­a­zino and Zalando to learn more about the robots and how they sup­port logis­tics and ful­fill­ment processes. The speak­ers in the webi­nar are:

Addi­tion­ally, inter­ested logis­tics pro­fes­sion­als can learn more about the TORU Road­show 2021 in the webi­nar. The road­show is a cam­paign Mag­a­zino launched in order to bring the robot TORU directly in front of British logis­tics exec­u­tives for prod­uct demon­stra­tions since events like con­fer­ences and logis­tics trade shows remain cancelled.

The British Footwear Asso­ci­a­tion (BFA) exist to sup­port footwear busi­nesses big and small, includ­ing: retail­ers, design­ers, man­u­fac­tur­ers, whole­salers and ser­vice providers. They also rep­re­sent, edu­cate and pro­vide advice to their mem­bers to help them achieve sus­tain­able and prof­itable growth.

From con­cept to car­rier bag, the BFA is at the cen­tre of the UK’s footwear indus­try. They enable a myr­iad of busi­nesses and sec­tors to come together to share, sup­port and learn — which ulti­mately enhances the UK footwear indus­try as a whole.

The BFA, to use the short­hand name, is a non-profit trade asso­ci­a­tion. Their ded­i­ca­tion to sup­port­ing and strength­en­ing UK footwear helps to rein­force its posi­tion as a rec­og­nized world leader.
