We are look­ing for a Robot­ics Soft­ware Archi­tect (f/m/x) in a per­ma­nent and full-time posi­tion in our office in Munich.

Your tasks

  • You work across our soft­ware teams on doc­u­ment­ing, main­tain­ing, and proac­tively improv­ing the soft­ware archi­tec­ture for our robot portfolio
  • You review and improve the code struc­ture and APIs as well as the pack­age struc­ture of the soft­ware to achieve great mod­u­lar­ity and configurability
  • Together with the devel­op­ment leads and soft­ware teams, you elab­o­rate and dis­cuss design prin­ci­ples and drive their implementation
  • You cre­ate and run a change process for inter­faces to ensure that these are per­formed in accor­dance with the over­all archi­tec­tural principles

 

Your pro­file

  • MSc in Com­puter Sci­ence, Engi­neer­ing, or a rel­e­vant field
  • 5+ years of expe­ri­ence as a Soft­ware Architect
  • Excel­lent knowl­edge of soft­ware appli­ca­tion, design and architecture
  • Excel­lent knowl­edge of C4, UML, and other mod­el­ing methods
  • Expe­ri­ence in soft­ware devel­op­ment in C++ and Python
  • Optional skills and experience:
    — Robot­ics and ROS, or embed­ded / edge soft­ware archi­tec­ture in general
    — CMake, build sys­tems, pack­age man­agers, and depen­dency management
  • A tech­ni­cal mind­set with great atten­tion to detail
  • High-qual­ity orga­ni­za­tional and lead­er­ship skills
  • Out­stand­ing com­mu­ni­ca­tion and pre­sen­ta­tion abilities
  • Flu­ent Eng­lish is required. Good Ger­man knowl­edge is a plus
