We are look­ing for a Linux Sys­tem & Secu­rity Engi­neer (f/m/x) in a per­ma­nent and full-time posi­tion in our office in Munich.

YOUR TASKS
  • You ensure that our Debian based Linux sys­tem is a reli­able and secure foun­da­tion for our robots
  • You review and actively improve the IT secu­rity of the robots, their net­work con­nec­tions and IT processes around devel­op­ing our robots
  • Together with the robot­ics teams, you mon­i­tor the resource con­sump­tion of all processes and nego­ti­ate lim­its to ensure the smooth oper­a­tion of all parts of the system
  • You enjoy dig­ging deep into prob­lems and find­ing sus­tain­able solu­tions – no mat­ter if they are related to hard­ware dri­vers, ker­nel mod­ules, net­work setups, or sys­tem resources
  • You sup­port us crack­ing the hard nuts — from full disk encryp­tion for autonomous robots, sup­port­ing migra­tions to newer oper­at­ing sys­tem ver­sions, auto­mated test­ing on OS level to ana­lyz­ing per­for­mance issues within our framework
REQUIREMENTS
  • You have suc­cess­fully com­pleted your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Com­puter Sci­ence or sim­i­lar education
  • You bring exten­sive expe­ri­ence with Linux
  • You feel com­fort­able deal­ing with: 
    • Ker­nel
    • File sys­tems
    • Sys­temd
    • The net­work­ing stack
    • Pub­lic-key Cryptography
  • You have excel­lent prob­lem-solv­ing skills
  • Ide­ally, you have expe­ri­ence with ROS
  • You are pro­fi­cient in Eng­lish, some Ger­man knowl­edge is a plus
