  • YOUR TASKS
    • You ensure that our Debian based Linux sys­tem is a relia­ble and secure foun­da­tion for our robots
    • You review and actively improve the IT secu­rity of the robots, their net­work con­nec­tions and IT pro­ces­ses around deve­lo­ping our robots
    • Tog­e­ther with the robo­tics teams, you moni­tor the resource con­sump­tion of all pro­ces­ses and nego­tiate limits to ensure the smooth ope­ra­tion of all parts of the system
    • You enjoy dig­ging deep into pro­blems and fin­ding sus­tainable solu­ti­ons – no mat­ter if they are rela­ted to hard­ware dri­vers, ker­nel modu­les, net­work set­ups, or sys­tem resources
    • You sup­port us crack­ing the hard nuts – from full disk encryp­tion for auto­no­mous robots, sup­port­ing migra­ti­ons to newer ope­ra­ting sys­tem ver­si­ons, auto­ma­ted test­ing on OS level to ana­ly­zing per­for­mance issues within our framework
    REQUIREMENTS
    • You have suc­cessfully com­ple­ted your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Com­pu­ter Sci­ence or simi­lar education
    • You bring exten­sive expe­ri­ence with Linux
    • You feel com­for­ta­ble deal­ing with: 
      • Ker­nel
      • File sys­tems
      • Sys­temd
      • The net­wor­king stack
      • Public-key Cryp­to­gra­phy
    • You have excel­lent pro­blem-sol­ving skills
    • Ide­ally, you have expe­ri­ence with ROS
    • You are pro­fi­ci­ent in Eng­lish, some Ger­man know­ledge is a plus
